Baldwin Park is about 2 miles east of Downtown Orlando and has a 55-acre park, a track and field complex, lighted baseball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, picnic areas with covered pavilions, two children's playgrounds, a great lawn for soccer and field games, a fountain plaza, and of course a gorgeous lake.
Baldwin Park is designed on New Urbanist principles, you will find walking and bicycles as the predominant modes of transportation as there are many businesses within a close proximity; as land use is flexible with commercial and residential uses are not segregated.
Glenridge Middle school is where most 6-8th grade students living in Baldwin Park attend. It has been an "A" rated school for 10 years in the Orange County school district. Authorized as an International Baccalaureate World School, it also offers High school credit courses in 3 subjects. Most of these students will go on to attend Winter Park High school, also an "A" rated OCPS school.
Winter Park High School, in 2008, was ranked at 160 in Newsweek's 1,200 Top U.S. Schools, with the criteria being schools that had the largest percentage of students taking Honors AP or IB exams. The Washington Post's annual ranking of American high schools identified WPHS as 156th in the country in 2011.
